In each of those games, McNeese held its own for much of the way, and against New Mexico, was tied with the Lobos up until the final minute of the contest.

Senior forward Sha'Markus Kennedy posted a couple of 20-point games by scoring 20 at Wisconsin then following that up with 26 points against New Mexico. He knocked down 17 of 24 from the field over the week and was 12 of 16 at the free throw line. In addition, he averaged nine rebounds and 3.5 blocks per contest.

Kennedy will enter Monday's tilt with a team-best 17.0 score average while Kuxhausen is knocking in 16.8 points a game.

The Cowboys have one other player averaging in double-digit scoring on the season, that being A.J. Lawson with a 12.2 average. Lawson is also leading the team in assists with a 3.0 per game mark.

As a team, McNeese is sinking 49 percent of its shots from the field and 69 percent at the free throw line while opponents are hitting 41 percent from the floor, 35 percent from 3-point range and 74 percent at the line.

This will be the first-ever meeting against the Patriots.

Following Monday's game, McNeese will hit the road for a Saturday visit to Richmond.
