McNEESE NOTES TEXAS NOTES
AUSTIN, Texas - McNeese will close out the month of November and its busy first few weeks of the season here Saturday when it takes on the Texas Longhorns at the Frank Erwin Center.
Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. The game will air live on the Longhorn Network and also on the McNeese Radio Network (1470/1290 AM and CajunRadio.com).
McNeese (2-5) is coming off an 87-57 loss at Richmond in its last outing while Texas (5-1) defeated California 62-45 in the 2K Empire Classic in New York.
KUXHAUSEN NO. 2 IN NCAA IN 3FG MADE
• Junior transfer
Dru Kuxhausen is ranked No. 2 in all of Division I basketball with 29 three-point baskets made.
• In addition, he's ranked 8th in the NCAA with 59 three-pointers attempted and #5 with 4.1 three-pointers made per game.
SPREADING THE SCORING WEALTH
• _Seven different players have scored in double-figures this season and in four games, three or more players have recorded 10 or points in the same game.
• The Cowboys had five players score double-digits in the win over Southern-New Orleans and four players with 10 or more against Arlington Baptist.
• McNeese has six players averaging 6.0 points or more a game.

• McNeese had 30 assists in a win over Arlington Baptist its last game out, falling one shy of the single-game school record of 31.

AJ Lawson is ranked 4th in the SLC with 23 total assists and is 6th with a 3.3 apg average.

AIRING IT OUT FROM LONG RANGE
• As a team, the Cowboys are 12th nationally in 3FG percentage (.420) and 16th in the NCAA in 3-pointers made (66).
BROWN FINDING HIS RHYTHM
• Senior guard
Roydell Brown missed the last 8 games of the season last year due to an ankle injury and has started off this year a little timid, but he seemed to have had a break-out game against Arlington Baptist when he flirted with a triple-double by pulling down 14 rebounds, a career-high nine assists, and six points.
SERIES VS. TEXAS
• Saturday's game will be the third meeting between the Cowboys and Longhorns with Texas winning the previous two matchups.
• In the second game, Texas was led by T.J. Ford who earned National Player of the Year honors that season and led Texas to a 26-7 record and spot in the NCAA Final Four.
