WBB: Cowgirls Return To The Hardwood Sunday To Host UL-Monroe

LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's basketball returns to the hardwood Sunday, Dec. 1 to host UL-Monroe in a 2 p.m. game at the H&HP Complex.
 
McNeese (1-5) is coming off an 81-50 home loss to Rice on Wednesday that saw the Cowgirls hold a 19-12 first quarter lead before a scoring drought in the second and third quarter was too large to overcome.
 
This will be the second game against a Sun Belt team this season. The Cowgirls fell 75-55 at UL-Lafayette on Nov. 14.

•- Cowgirls return to the court following their Thanksgiving break to host UL-Monroe for their second straight home game. It will be one of two home games in December for the Cowgirls. McNeese will also host LSU-Shreveport on Dec. 18.

•- Senior Damilola Balogun leads the Cowgirls with 7.7 rpg.
 
•- Sophomore Divine Tanks comes off the bench to grab 6.8 rpg.
 
•- ULM is coached by former Cowgirl head coach Brooks Donald Williams who coached the Cowgirls for 9 years (2008-2016). ULM assistant coach Kendra "Kitty" Wells and game operations Amber Donnes are former Cowgirl standouts.
 
•- Cowgirl head coach Kacie Cryer served on Williams' staff for seven years before being promoted to head coach.
