LAKE CHALRES—McNeese volleyball will close out its home schedule this week with matches against Southeastern Louisiana at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and an 11:30 a.m. match against Nicholls on Saturday.
The 2019 seniors (
Angela McGownd,
Haley Schneider, Katelynn Elliott, and
Keegan Nelms) will be honored prior to Saturday's match.
McNeese (10-14, 3-9 SLC), coming off a 3-2 home win over Incarnate Word last Saturday, is still in the hunt for a conference tournament spot with four matches remaining in the regular season. The Cowgirls will look to avenge a 3-0 loss at Southeastern La. (12-14, 6-6 SLC) on Sept. 26 in the first conference match of the season.
Keegan Nelms and
Alexis Lambert continue to lead the Cowgirls in kills with 223 and 221, respectively. Nelms is coming off a match where she produced her 10
th double-double of the season with 13 kills and 14 digs. She is 10 kills shy of moving into the Top 10 in McNeese career kills.
The Lions, who are coached by former McNeese assistant Jeremy White, are coming off a five-set home loss to Central Arkansas last Saturday.
