17 student-athletes receive degrees on Saturday

LAKE CHARLES – A total of 17 McNeese student-athletes received their degrees on Saturday at the McNeese State University 2019 Fall Commencement Ceremony.
 
The group included 10 from football, three women's track and field, one women's golf, one baseball, one softball and one soccer.
 
Saturday's graduation ceremony, which was split into two separate services with one in the morning and one in the afternoon, was the first one to be held at the new McNeese H&HP Complex.
 
The following is a list of student-athletes, sport and major: Trevor Begue, football, management; Grant Burguillos, football, general studies; Louis Conerly, football, chemical engineering; Calum Foster, football, H&HP in sports wellness management; Gabe Foster, football, H&HP in sports medicine; Marcus Foster, football, general studies; Collin Fountain, football, agriculture science; Zack Jones, football, general studies (will walk in the spring); Tre Newton, football, general studies; Jake Smith, football, general business-construction management.
 
Women's track and field graduates include: Aleyah Donald, criminal justice; Jaclyn Gonzales, H&HP in sports medicine; Estela Pina, H&HP in pre-chiropractic.
 
Other graduates include: baseball's Zack Rider, mechanical engineering; Riley Isaac, women's golf, health and physical education; Rebecca Adcock, soccer, art-graphic design; and Lauren Brown, softball, political science.
