WBB: Cowgirls Travel To UCA For Only Regular Season Meeting

| By:
LAKE CHARLES- McNeese women's basketball, coming off a 75-70 road win at Southeastern Louisiana last Saturday, will once again take to the road Wednesday when they will travel to Conway, Arkansas to take on the Sugar Bears of Central Arkansas. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Live streaming (subscription) and live stats will be available. Links can be found on mcneeesesports.com.

With six regular season games on the schedule, McNeese (6-17, 4-8 SLC) enters the game in ninth place in the league standings, one-half game out of eighth place New Orleans, the Cowgirls opponent this Saturday.

Wednesday's game will be the only regular season meeting against UCA (10-12, 5-7 SLC) who is currently in seventh place in the SLC race.

The Cowgirls enter the game ranked third in the SLC in three-point field goal percent, all due in part to junior Regan Bolton who has been on a tear from behind the arc as of late.

The Hammond native ranks third in the SLC with 3.5 three-point field goals made per game and is coming off a 6 of 12 shooting performance from behind the arc at SE La. that moved her into eighth place in McNeese career three-pointers made with 129.

Bolton enters the game as the team's second leading scorer (13.1 ppg.) but is averaging 15.4 ppg. in conference action. She has scored 20 or more points in six of the last nine games.

Redshirt freshman Callie Maddox leads the Cowgirls in scoring with 13.6 ppg. and is averaging 13.8 in conference games.

The Cowgirls got a spark off the bench at SE La. from junior Sky Jasper, who came off the bench to score 11 points after missing the previous seven games due to an injury.

On the boards, junior Damilola Balogun has been a beast on both ends of the court. The junior ranks second in SLC games with 9.6 rpg. She is averaging 8.1 rpg. overall and is coming off a 10-rebound game at SE La.

The Sugar Bears have won their last three games with wins over Northwestern State, Southeastern La., and most recently a 77-58 win at Houston Baptist last Saturday.

Kamry Orr leads UCA in scoring (16.0 ppg.) and Mekaylan Hicks (5.6 rpg.) and Hannah Langhi (4.7 rpg.) lead the team in rebounds, respectively.
