LAKE CHARLES – The McNeese women's tennis team will open its 2019 home slate on Friday, Feb. 8, when it takes on Prairie View at 1 p.m. at the Nancy Hank Tennis Center.  
 
Last year the Cowgirls swept the Lady Panthers 7-0 at home. 
 
The Lady Panthers (0-6) are looking for their first win of the year, while the Cowgirls (1-4) are coming off a 3-4 loss to UT-Arlington.
 
In the loss to UT-Arlington, Charoline Erlandsson defeated Lucia Natal to vault her into the ITA Women's Division I Top 125 Rankings to No. 119, the first ever national ranking for McNeese tennis.
 
Also in the match against UTA, McNeese's Giovanna Fioretti swept Momoka Horiguchi, who was ranked No. 124 in the nation at the time.
 
Admission is free, and there will be free pizza provided to fans along with a free t-shirt for the first 20 fans to arrive.
