WBB: Cowgirls Travel To Houston Baptist Saturday

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will head to Houston Saturday to face Houston Baptist (7-18, 2-13 SLC) in a 2 p.m. game.
 
McNeese (6-20, 4-11 SLC) is still in the hunt for a Southland Conference Tournament spot heading into the game. The Cowgirls are currently in a 9th place tie, two games out of eighth place Central Arkansas and will be looking to pick up its second win over HBU this season. The Cowgirls defeated the Huskies 81-71 in Lake Charles on Jan. 26.
 
The Cowgirls will look to snap a three-game losing streak after a 78-55 home finale loss against Nicholls on Wednesday.
 
Callie Maddox (13.0 ppg.) and Regan Bolton (12.6 ppg.) lead the Cowgirls in scoring while Damilola Balogun leads the team with 8.0 rpg.  
 
Houston Baptist enters the game on seven game losing streak following its 97-49 home loss to Lamar on Wednesday.
 
Amanda Johnson (13.0 ppg.) and Megan Valdez-Crader (10.5 ppg.) lead the Huskies in scoring while Taylor Kollmorgen leads the team with 5.8 rpg.
