LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will conclude its season this Saturday with a 2 p.m. game at Lamar. The game can be seen on ESPN+.
 
McNeese (7-21, 5-12 SLC) will look to bounce back from a 62-51 road loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday that saw freshman Divine Tanks tie her career high with 13 points to go along with nine rebounds.
 
The Cowgirls fell 64-62 to the Cardinals on Feb. 2 in Lake Charles and have been the only SLC team to come that close to defeating the Cardinals (23-5, 16-1 SLC) besides its only SLC loss at Stephen F. Austin.
 
McNeese is led in scoring by Callie Maddox, who is averaging 13.1 points per game. Regan Bolton is also averaging in double figures with 12.6 points per game. Damilola Balogun leads McNeese with 8.1 rebounds per game. Bolton leads the team with 80 made three-pointers on the season.
 
Lamar enters Senior Day looking to clinch the outright Southland Conference regular season title with a win and the no. 1 seed in next week's Southland Conference Tournament.
 
Three Cardinals enter the game averaging in double figures with Moe Kinard leading the way with 20.3 ppg. Miya Crump is averaging 15.1 ppg., and Chastadie Barrs is averaging 14.8 ppg. Barrs also leads Lamar with 7.3 rpg. and the NCAA's career steals leader (6.3 spg.) is also dishing out 6.2 per game.
