FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference released the bracket for the 2019 women's tennis tournament on Saturday. McNeese will return to the SLC tournament as the defending tournament champions and play as the sixth seeded team.
The Cowgirls will open up tournament play on Thursday when they face Central Arkansas at 10 a.m. in a first-round match-up. The two squads met in late March and UCA came out on top 6-1.
With a win McNeese will advance to the semifinals on Friday at 2 p.m. and play the winner of the Northwestern St. and New Orleans match-up.
The full tournament seedings are, from highest to lowest: Abilene Christian, Northwestern St, Central Arkansas, Sam Houston St, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, McNeese, New Orleans, and Lamar.
