LAKE CHARLES – McNeese returns home on Saturday night when it hosts Alcorn in the final non-conference game of the season.
 
Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Cowboy Stadium for the Military Appreciation Game.
 
All members of the military can purchase a discount general admission ticket for just $11 with a valid military I.D.
 
McNeese (1-1) is coming off a 56-14 loss against Oklahoma State, but before that, opened the season at home with a 34-28 win over Southern in front of a record crowd of 20,437.
 
Alcorn (1-1) is the defending SWAC champion and is coming off a 45-7 win over Mississippi College. The Braves opened up the season with a 38-10 loss at Southern Miss.
 
McNeese vs. Alcorn Game Notes:
• McNeese leads the all-time series by a 3-0 advantage.
• The two teams last played in 2017 with McNeese winning 34-27 at Alcorn.
• The Cowboys are 13-0 all-time against members of the SWAC.
• Both teams are receiving votes in this week's FCS Top 25 polls.
• With a +5 turnover margin, McNeese is ranked No. 1 in the SLC and 7th in the FCS.
• McNeese's 7 total turnovers forced ranks 1st in the SLC and 3rd in the nation.
• Senior DE Chris Livings has recorded two sacks on the season, giving him 22.5 in his career and tying him for second all-time with Kavika Pittman. He needs eight more to break the record of 31 held by Bryan Smith.
• Alcorn QB Noah Johnson and RB De'Shawn Waller are on the watch list for the Walter Payton Award.
• Braves' LB Solomon Muhammad is on the Buck Buchanan Award watch list.
