Alexis Lambert's 11 kills and
Lauren Burt's five blocks paced McNeese volleyball to a straight set win (25-16, 25-16, 25-12) over Prairie View here Tuesday night to improve to 5-4 on the season.
"It was nice to get a sweep against a team that has really pushed some other Southland Conference schools," said head coach
Ashleigh Fitzgerald.
The win is the second straight victory and third in the last four matches for the Cowgirls. Prairie View fell to 0-12 on the season with the setback.
Lambert also came away with a .308 hitting percent while
Regan Stiawalt, who had been sidelined with an injury, led the Cowgirls with a .364 hitting percent on nine kills, one error in 22 attempts. As a team, McNeese hit .303 and picked up 11 service aces.
"I liked that we limited our unforced attacking errors and hit at a high clip while holding Prairie View to a negative hitting percent."

Angela McGownd led all players with 15 digs.
McNeese will conclude its home stand on Friday with its round robin. The Cowgirls will face Grambling at 12:30 p.m. and UL-Monroe at 6 p.m. Grambling and UL-Monroe will face each other at 3:30 p.m.
