LAKE CHARLES- The McNeese women's soccer team (6-3-0, 2-0-0 SLC) will play its second conference road game of the 2019 season Sunday afternoon against Northwestern (5-5-0, 2-0-0 SLC) at 1 p.m. in Natchitoches, La.

The Cowgirls are looking to continue their four-game winning streak and remain undefeated in conference play while the Lady Demons will look to pick up their sixth straight win and to also remain undefeated in the conference.

McNeese handed Central Arkansas its second conference loss after a 2-1 double overtime decision. The Pokes led 1-0 in the first half after a goal by
Brianna Mascia, her first as a Cowgirl. The Bears scored the equalizer late in the second half.Â

Havana Johnson has two goals. The trio also leads the team in points, Watson with 12, Friesen with eight, and Johnson with five.

Northwestern is coming off a 2-1 overtime win in their second conference game to Lamar Friday night. The Lady Demons scored the equalizer in the 87
th minute. The Demons would go on to win the game after a 1OT Golden Goal from Sophomore Natalee Henry.
This will be the 33
rd time in program history that the two squads have met. The all-time series is 13-14-5, with the Lady Demons in the lead. The Cowgirls have defeated Northwestern in five of the last six matches dating back to 2014.Â
