Cowboys visit Bears searching for first league win

Roydell Brown has recorded two double-doubles in the last three games and is tied for the team lead with four on the season.

CONWAY, Arkansas –
McNeese will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday when the Cowboys visit Central Arkansas in game No. 3 of the Southland Conference season.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at UCA's Farris Center. The game will broadcast across the airwaves on Magic 1470 and Cajun Radio 1290 AM and also on CajunRadio.com.
 
The Cowboys (5-8, 0-2 SLC) are coming off a 94-75 loss to Sam Houston State on Thursday night while UCA (3-11, 2-1) dropped a 111-107 overtime contest at HBU.
 
McNeese first four conference opponents are a combined 10-1 in league play (SFA 3-0, SHSU 3-0, UCA 2-1, ACU 2-0). The Cowboys will travel to Abilene Christian next Wednesday before returning home on Jan. 11 against Northwestern State.
 
COWBOYS VISIT UCA LOOKING FOR 1ST ROAD WIN:
• McNeese closed out its 5-game home stand on Thursday night in a 94-75 loss to Sam Houston State and falling to 0-2 in Southland Conference play.
• The Cowboys will hit the road for two straight beginning on Saturday at Central Arkansas as they look to win their first game away from home on the season after dropping their first six.
• McNeese has not won on the road since last Feb. 27 at Nicholls in an 84-75 win.
• Overall, the Cowboys have dropped eight straight away from home dating back to last season.
