LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's basketball returns home for its next two games beginning with Saturday's Battle of the Border matchup against Lamar on ESPN3. Tipoff is set for 1:02 p.m. at the H&HP Complex.

McNeese (5-14, 2-8 SLC) is coming off an 88-72 road loss at Nicholls that saw Sky Jasper score a career high 21 points along with a career high six steals, and four assists.
 
Damilola Balogun continued her double double streak by recording her fourth straight with 20 points and 12 rebounds against Nicholls. The double double is also her seventh in the last eight games. She continues to lead the Cowgirls with 9.9 rebounds per game and the Southland Conference with 11.6 rpg. in conference games. She also ranks second in the SLC with a 91.9 free throw percent and is ranks seventh with a 51.6 field goal percent in league games. She enters the game averaging 11.1 ppg., second on the team behind Regan Bolton's 11.3 ppg.
 
McNeese continues to lead the conference with a 37.8 three-point field goal shooting percent in conference games despite making 4 of 18 from behind the arc at Nicholls. The Cowgirls also enter the game ranked fifth in scoring, averaging 63.4 ppg. in conference play.
 
Lamar (8-11, 4-6 SLC) returns to the court for the first time in a week following its 54-53 home loss against Stephen F. Austin.
 
The Cardinals were picked to finish fifth in the preseason poll and are led in scoring by redshirt senior Amber Vidal's 13.3 ppg. Angel Hastings is the only other Cardinal averaging in double figures with 12.1 ppg. Briana Laidler leads Lamar in rebounds with 7.7 per game.
