LAKE CHARLES – McNeese will begin a string of playing three basketball games in four days on Saturday when the Cowboys host Carver College at 6:30 in Burton Coliseum.
The first 2,000 fans will be admitted free. Donations will be accepted at the door for the Rebuild McNeese drive.
The game will broadcast live on the McNeese Radio Network – Magic 92.1 FM and mymagiclc.com while a live video stream will be available on McNeeseSports.com.
Following Saturday's game, the Cowboys will host Arlington Baptist in back-to-back nights – Monday at 6:30 and then Tuesday at 6:30. McNeese was originally scheduled to play Campbellsville-Harrodsburg on Friday and Saturday but CU-H had to cancel due to the COVID-19 virus. The game with Carver and second contest versus Arlington Baptist was added earlier in the week.
"The scheduling is a very fluid situation," said head coach
Heath Schroyer whose Cowboys are 1-2 on the season. "You don't know what's coming one day to the next. It'll be a busy next few days for us, playing three games in four days. It's not ideal, but it also prepares us for tournament play."
Carver College is based out of Atlanta and is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
