McNeese women's basketball will travel to No. 7 Baylor this Saturday in a game that will be streamed on ESPN+. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
 
The game marks the fourth consecutive road contest for the Cowgirls and the sixth road game out of seven games played this season.
 
McNeese (0-6) is coming off a 95-73 road loss at Prairie View on Wednesday that saw the Cowgirls having their best shooting percent of the season despite the loss.
 
Five Cowgirls scored in double figures against Prairie View with Divine Tanks (20 pts.), Kyla Hamilton (14 pts.), and Mychala Linzy (12 pts.) all recorded career highs. Lizzy Ratcliff (10 pts.) and Shaela Gardner (10 pts.) also scored in double figures. Tanks missed her first double double of the season after picking up nine rebounds.
 
Tanks enters Saturday's game leading McNeese with 8.0 ppg. and 5.5 rpg.
 
Baylor (6-1) is coming off a 136-43 home win over Northwestern State Friday. The 136 points is the second most scored in program history. The Bears also dished out a school record 45 assists and six players recorded career highs . McNeese will be the third Southland Conference school on the Baylor schedule this season. The Bears opened the season on Nov. 25 with an 82-37 home win over Central Arkansas. The Bears' only blemish of the season was an 83-78 road loss at then No. 16 Arkansas on Dec. 3.
