Box Score DALLAS – McNeese Cowgirl tennis closed out the weekend with a 7-0 loss to SMU here Saturday as the Cowgirls continue to be handicapped by playing one player down.
Freshman
Hanna Blinouskaya put up a good fight in the No. 5 singles against SMU's Emma Pieroni before falling 76-63 in the final ending match of the night.
In doubles action,
Marija Mastilovic and Carlotta Romita fell 6-3 to Jackie Nylander and I. Tcherkes Zade in the No. 1 match while
Matilde Mulatero and Sofia San Jose Moren dropped a 6-2 decision in the No. 2 slot.
The Cowgirls, now 1-5 on the season, will in action again next Sunday when they open up their home slate next Sunday when they host Tyler Junior College at 1 p.m. at the Nancy Hank Tennis Complex.
