LAKE CHARLES- McNeese Cowgirl Soccer (10-4-2, 7-2-1) will celebrate senior night when they host the Houston Baptist Huskies Friday Evening.
Delana Friesen, Caroline Fritsch, Madysin Girouard, Havana Johnson, Alexis Miller, Keely Morrow, Emma Roccaforte, Mariah Ruelas, and Anna Watson will be honored in a post-match ceremony.

Series History:
Historically, McNeese holds a 6-6-2 record against HBU. Most recently, the Cowgirls defeated the Huskies 2-1 on September 23rd in Houston. Rachel Young scored both goals in the match while the Cowgirl defense held HBU to only two shots on net.
Setting The Scene:
Sitting in second place in the conference, the Cowgirls went 1-1-0 in last week's home-stand against Incarnate Word and Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. Young scored the Cowgirls lone goal against UIW while Magolie Depot, Havana Johnson, and Morgan Schooley recorded goals against the Islanders of Corpus Christi.
HBU will bring a two game win streak into Lake Charles Friday evening, they defeated Nicholls and Southeastern on the road this past weekend. Sophomore Katie Marker earned Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after having a hand in both game-winners for the Huskies last week. Marker leads the Huskies with 11 total points this season, tied for the team lead in both goals, with three, and assists, with five. The program is led by former HBU men's goalie Chris Dodd. Dodd is in his first season as head coach after being in an associate head coaching role prior.
Offensive Prowess
The Cowgirls rank first in a plethora of categories amongst the rest of the SLC. Drew Fitzgerald's team ranks first with 102 total offensive points. The next closest team is opponent HBU with 72. The Pokes also rank first amongst the league in total goals (35) and assists (32).
Sophomore forward Rachel Young has proved to be a difference maker off the bench, she has scored six of her seven goals over the last six games. Her recent offensive barrage places her with the second most points in the league, 16 (7g, 2a).
Senior Havana Johnson has 12 points on the year (5g, 2a) which slots her both in tied for third-highest league-wide.
Senior defender Keely Morrow is tied for first in the league with five assists on the year from the defender position.
