LAKE CHARLES – McNeese volleyball (12-9, SLC 6-4) will close out the month of October with a home match Saturday against Northwestern State (3-6, SLC 9-15).  

Admission is free, and fans are asked to bring their own chair as the rec complex has limited seating.  

Following Thursday's straight set win over Southeastern, the Cowgirls moved into a third-place tie with Southeastern in the Southland Conference standings.  

McNeese will look to pick up its second win of the season against Northwestern State following a straight set win in Natchitoches earlier this month.  

Aryn Johnson leads the Cowgirls with 228 kills this season. Ceci Harness continues to lead the team with 447 assists while libero Lizzy Low has a team high 254 digs. 

Freshman Jaylin Gordon paces the league with a .431 hitting percent in league matches. Bria Plante is tied for fourth in the league with UIW's Nailah Landon. Both players have earned 69 blocks, averaging 1.11 per set.  

Following a loss to second place Houston Baptist Thursday night, Northwestern State enters the match ranked sixth in the SLC.  

Northwestern State's Piper Boydstun ranks third in the league with 9.38 assists per set. Symone Wesley leads the Lady Demons with 241 kills this season.

Haley Hoang leads the team with 349 digs and Jaylibeth Garcia-Rosa leads with 72 blocks.
