HAMMOND, LA– Following two Southland Conference home victories against Nicholls and New Orleans, McNeese volleyball (8-6, 3-1 SLC) looks to continue its winning streak when the Cowgirls travel to Southeastern (3-11, 2-1 SLC) on Thursday, October 7 at 6:30 P.M.
Both teams enter the match currently tied for third place in the league standings behind Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Houston Baptist who are both tied for the league lead at 3-0.
Southeastern has won three of its last four matches with its lone SLC loss coming against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Lions picked up conference wins over Northwestern State and UIW. Cicily Hidalgo leads the Lions with 223 kills and Ansley Tullis leads with 240 digs.
McNeese freshman Aryn Johnson continues to be a standout newcomer, leading the Cowgirls with 131 kills. Senior Regan Stiawalt leads the team with 19 service aces and is second on the team with 93 digs and 103 kills.
Ceci Harness has proved to be an exceptional asset to the Cowgirls with 272 assists. The defensive effort has been led by Lizzy Low with 134 digs and Bria Plante with 39 blocks.
