LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will close out its regular season Thursday night with a Southland Conference match against Houston Baptist. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. The match will also serve as senior night.  McNeese will honor its only senior, outside hitter Regan Stiawalt following the match.
 
McNeese (16-9, 9-4 SLC) will enter the match in third place in the conference standings behind Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (16-9, 12-1 SLC) and second place Houston Baptist (20-7, 11-2 SLC). The 16 wins are the most program wins for the Cowgirls since the 2013 season.
 
The Cowgirls will enter the match on a six-match winning streak after its non-conference straight set win over Prairie View on Tuesday.
 
Aryn Johnson continues to pace the Cowgirls' offense with 271 kills along with 29 service aces. Bria Plante has controlled the net and leads the team with 87 blocks while Lizzy Low has been solid in the back line, leading the team with 317 digs. Setter Ceci Harness and Baylee Laskoskie have shared the setting duties. Harness has dished out 534 assists while Laskoskie has 348 on the season.
 
Houston Baptist will also bring a six-match winning streak into the match following its straight set win at Nicholls last Saturday. The Huskies are the top blocking and digging team in the league, averaging 2.89 blocks per set and 18.31 digs per set.
