Cowboys tangle with Seattle in mid-major contest

| By:
SEATTLE – McNeese continues its six-game and nearly month-long trip away from home on Wednesday when it takes on Seattle in an attractive mid-major men's basketball contest.

Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. CT at the Climate Pledge Arena. The game will broadcast live on ESPN+ and can also be heard on the McNeese Sports Network (92.1 FM and mymagiclc.com).

McNeese (3-4) is coming off a 1-1 showing at last week's Emerald Coast Classic that saw the Cowboys defeat St. Francis Brooklyn before falling to Samford.

Each game had a Cowboy player score at least 20 points – Brendan Medley-Bacon with 21 against STC while Myles Lewis netted 20 vs. Samford.

The Redhawks, a member of the WAC, are off to a 6-1 start on the season, one of their best marks in recent history through seven games. Seattle has won six straight games and is coming off an 81-64 win over St. Thomas.

For the season, Medley-Bacon leads the Cowboys in scoring with a 12.4 average while Lewis follows with an 11.7 mark.

Seattle guard Tyson Cameron tops three Redhawks averaging double-digits in scoring with a 15.0 mark.

Wednesday's game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

Following the game, the Cowboys will stay out west and head to Cowboy Country with a visit to Wyoming on Saturday.
