Setting The Scene:
The Cowgirls defeated #7 seeded Nicholls in the quarterfinal's this past Wednesday. A matchup the Pokes dominated (outshot Nicholls 16-1), senior defender and first-team SLC selection Keely Morrow connected on a header in the 31st minute that would prove to be the difference. Lake Charles native sophomore Jillian Bech also found the back of the net, while goalies Emma Roccaforte and Jackie Kelly combined for the shutout. Nicholls is coming off of a 4-0 victory over #6 seeded HBU. Kiki Lara's team features three first-team SLC selections Eve Clarkson, Isabella Beletic, and Sierra Wannamaker.Â

The Cowgirls hold the all-time advantage against the Cardinals with a 5-3-2 record. The teams split the season series each winning a game on each others home field.
