LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will conclude its regular season at home this week with a non-conference match against Prarie View at 6 p.m. Tuesday concluding the regular season with a Southland Conference match against Houston Baptist Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday is also senior night and outside hitter Regan Stiawalt will be following to the match.
 
The Prairie View match is a makeup match that was scheduled back on Sept. 14 but was postponed due to severe weather.
 
McNeese (15-9) enters Tuesday's match riding a five-match winning streak after picking Southland Conference road wins at Nicholls and New Orleans last week.
 
Freshman Aryn Johnson continues to lead the team with 263 kills and has a team high 27 service aces. Lizzy Low has a team best 301 digs while Ceci Harness has dished out a season high 510 assists. Bria Plante continues to lead the team with 84 blocks.
 
Prairie View (6-23) will enter the match following a 3-1 loss to Alabama A&M last Monday.
 
 
Smith Named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Junior outside hitter Anyse Smith was named this week's Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week following a week where she led the Cowgirls offensively recording 42 kills over nine sets of play on the road. The junior outside hitter averaged 4.67 kills per set against Nicholls Thursday and New Orleans Saturday. The Amarillo, Texas, native registered a career high 22 kills in McNeese's 3-1 over the Colonels. The Cowgirls (15-9, 9-4 SLC) sit third in the league's standings on a five-game win streak. McNeese sits first in the Southland with 1.60 service aces per set and second in hitting percentage (.215), assists per set (12.00) and blocks with 2.74 per set. The Cowgirls welcome HBU to Lake Charles Thursday, Nov. 11 for their last match of the regular season.
