LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's basketball returns home Wednesday, Dec. 22 to host Louisiana Tech for its only home game in the month of December and following a five game road trip that began on Dec. 1. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at Burton Coliseum.

McNeese (4-7) is coming off an 81-54 at UL-Monroe last Saturday in the fifth of five straight road games. The Cowgirls offense came alive as the Cowgirls shot 40.6 percent from behind the arc, making 13 of 32 attempts and ended the game with a 76.9 free throw percent (20-26).

The Cowgirls amped up their defense against ULM which helped transition into their offense. McNeese, who ranks fifth in the nation in offensive rebounds per game, enters the game averaging 17.3 offensive boards per game.

McNeese enters the game averaging 69.4 points per game and are led by
Desirae Hansen's 11.1 ppg.
Divine Tanks continues to lead the Cowgirls with 7.5 rpg.

Louisiana Tech (7-3) had its three game winning streak snapped on Sunday in a 69-57 road loss at UL-Lafayette. The Lady Techsters average 64.6 ppg. and shoot 74.8 percent from the free throw line. Three players are averaging in double figures with Keuinna Walker leading the way with 16.0 ppg. Anna Larr Roberson leads La. Tech with 7.1 rpg.

NEXT GAME
McNeese will take a Holiday break and will return to action on Jan. 3 when the Cowgirls face Southeastern in the Southland Conference Tipoff Event in Kay, Texas. The Cowgirls are guaranteed three games during the event that runs through Jan. 5.
