WBB: Cowgirls Look To Bounce Back At Lamar Tuesday

LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's basketball will continue its five-game road swing when the Cowgirls cross the state line into Beaumont, Texas Tuesday night to face Lamar. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Montagne Center. The game will be the closest to a home game for Cowgirl fans until returning to Lake Charles for its only home game in the month of December. McNeese will host Louisiana Tech on Dec. 22.
 
McNeese (3-4) will look to snap a two-game losing streak after its 102-55 road loss at Mississippi State last Wednesday. McNeese got off to another cold start and trailed 56-18 at the half but on the bright side, State only outscored McNeese by eight points in the second half.
 
Zuzanna Kulinska and Kaili Chamberlin both enter the contest averaging in double figures. Kulinska leads the team with 10.7 ppg. and 3.1 apg. Chamberlin is averaging 10.3 ppg. Chamberlin also leads the team with a 42.1 three-point field goal percent.
 
Divine Tanks continues to be a force on the boards as she leads the team with 8.6 per game. Tanks has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in the last two games including a team high 10 at Miss. State.
 
Lamar (2-4) will play its third home game in a stretch of eight straight at the Montagne Center. The Cardinals snapped a three-game losing streak with a 57-44 win over Loyola (N.O.) last Saturday. Lamar's other win this season was a 107-37 home win over Howard Payne on Nov. 12.
 
The Cardinals have a trio of players averaging in double figures with Sabria Dean leading the way with 15.5 ppg. Akasha Davis is averaging 13.3 and Malay McQueen is averaging 10.7 ppg.  Davis leads the Cardinals with 8.2 rpg. while Anyssia Gibbs is pulling down 7.8 per game.
