McNeese women's basketball will look to pick up its second win over Northwestern State this season when the Cowgirls travel to Natchitoches for a 4 p.m. Southland Conference contest on Saturday. The game is the first of a doubleheader with the Cowboys. The game will be available on ESPN+ and can be heard on talk1470.com.
 
McNeese (4-9, 4-2 SLC) will once again play shorthanded due to COVID that has affected the program in the last month. McNeese will be without starters Claralee Richard and Shaela Gardner due to COVID protocol for the second straight game.  
 
The Cowgirls are coming off a 66-47 home loss to Incarnate Word Monday night that saw Divine Tanks record her third double double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tanks currently leads the team in scoring (9.7 ppg.) and rebounds (6.6 rpg.). The junior from Lake Charles is averaging 13.8 ppg. and 9.43 rpg. in conference games.
 
Kyla Hamilton is second on the team in scoring (9.7 ppg.) and is averaging 12.0 ppg. and is dishing out 2.5 assists in conference games.
 
Northwestern State (0-14, 0-9 SLC) is led in scoring (9.5 ppg.) and rebounds (5.4 rpg.) by Anessa Dussette.
