McNeese volleyball will attempt to do something Saturday that no other conference school has been able to do since 2017, and that's hand Stephen F. Austin its first conference loss. First serve is set for 1 p.m. in Nacogdoches.
 
The Ladyjacks (15-4, 3-0 SLC) have dominated the Southland Conference, having won 11 regular season titles and six SLC Tournament titles and are the preseason favorite again this year.
 
The Cowgirls (1-1, 1-1 SLC) are coming off its first loss of the season, a 3-1 road loss at Abilene Christian on Thursday despite being without two starters due to COVID protocol. Those two players will also miss Saturday's game.
 
Kendall Glueck and Baylee Laskoskie are coming of a match where both players recorded 13 kills apiece. Laskoskie also led McNeese with 10 digs to complete her double double.
