HOUSTON, Texas—McNeese women's basketball dropped a Southland Conference game 61-45 at Houston Baptist Saturday.

Divine Tanks was the only Cowgirl to score in double figures, ending the game with 16 points to go along with six rebounds.
Lizzy Ratcliff led the Cowgirls with seven rebounds.
With the loss, McNeese falls to 6-12 overall and 6-5 in the SLC. HBU improves to 9-8 overall and 5-5 in the SLC. The Cowgirls held as much as a four-point lead by scoring the first four points of the game.
HBU held a 24-20 halftime lead then outscored the Cowgirls 37-25 in the second half and held the Cowgirls on 1 of 12 from the field for an 8.3 field goal shooting percent while HBU shot 31.1 percent from the field and 83.3 from the free throw line, making 20 of 24 attempts to pick up the win.
HBU placed three players in double figures with Timia Jefferson scoring a game high 19 points while N'Denasija Collins scoring 17 points and Kennedy Wilson chipping in 11 points.
The Cowgirls will conclude the regular season next week with games at Central Arkansas (Mar. 1), at Nicholls (Mar. 3) before hosting Lamar (Mar. 6) in its regular season finale.
