McNeese volleyball will look to complete its first weekend of spring action undefeated with a noon match Saturday against Nicholls. All home matches are being played at SP Arnett Middle School in Westlake.
 
Due to limited seating and COVID guidelines, capacity will be capped at 25 percent. Only those individuals on the pass list and McNeese students with a valid ID will be admitted. Admission is  free and donations are welcomed to help rebuild McNeese.
 
The Cowgirls (1-0, 1-0 SLC) opened its season with a straight set 3-0 win over Southeastern La. Thursday night in head coach Kristee Porter's McNeese debut.
 
Kendall Glueck and Regan Stiawalt led the Cowgirls with 13 and 12 kills, respectively while Caitlin Sharrock tallied 22 assists and Madison Fontenot ended the match with 13 digs. Lauren Burt picked up four blocks along with three service aces.
 
Nicholls (0-2, 0-1 SLC) comes into the match with a loss at Southern Miss and a 3-0 loss to New Orleans in its SLC home opener Thursday.
 
The Colonels are led in kills by Kate Hoerdemann who has 15 kills and is second on the team with 16 digs.
