VB: Cowgirls Travel To Lamar Tuesday

LAKE CHARLES- McNeese volleyball returns to the court for two matches this week following a 10-day break. The Cowgirls will travel to Lamar Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. match at the Montagne Center before returning home to host Sam Houston in a 6 p.m. match Thursday in their home finale.
 
Seniors Alexis Lambert, Caitlin Sharrock, and Madison Fontenot will be honored prior to Thursday's match.
 
McNeese (4-4, 4-4 SLC) will enter the match on a two-match winning streak after straight set wins over New Orleans (March 2) and Northwestern State (March 6).
 
Kendall Glueck continues to lead McNeese with 79 kills while Sharrock has team highs with 117 assists and 13 service aces which ranks her second in the league. Fontenot leads the defense with 97 digs while Jaiden Kennedy commands the net with 21 blocks. Laruen Burt leads the squad with a .329 hitting percent.
 
Lamar (1-12, 1-7 SLC) has lost its last four matches including back-to-back five set losses against Southeastern Louisiana and most recently a home loss against Nicholls last Saturday. The Cardinals last win was a straight set victory over Northwestern State on Feb. 23.
 
The Cardinals are led by Kaitlyn Gil's 124 kills and 11 service aces. Bre'Ala Box leads Lamar with 28 blocks (20 in SLC matches) and a .247 hitting percent in conference matches.
