LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will have a chance to clinch a Southland Conference
Tournament berth in the final weekend of play when the Cowgirls travel to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (9-3, 7-3 SLC) Thursday night and Incarnate Word on Saturday.
 
Thursday's match has a 6:30 p.m. start and Saturday's match is set for 1:30 p.m. The A&M-CC match will be streamed for free and live stats will be available for both matches. Links can be found on mcneesesports.com.
 
The Cowgirls (5-5, 5-5 SLC) enter the final two matches of the regular season in eighth place, one match ahead of Incarnate Word. Incarnate Word will face Lamar on Thursday with a 4-8 overall record and a 4-6 conference record before Saturday's match against McNeese. The top eight teams will advance to next week's Southland Conference Tournament in Corpus Christi, Texas.
 
Kendall Glueck continues to pace McNeese with 104 kills and a .321 hitting percent while Caitlin Sharrock leads the team with 147 assists and 14 service aces which ranks her fourth in the league. Madison Fontenot is tops with 131 digs and Lauren Burt leads the team at the net with 27 blocks.
 
The Islanders clinched a tournament spot with its 3-0 win over New Orleans last Saturday. They enter the match having won three of their last four matches with the loss coming at No. 2 Texas on March 10.
