Cowgirl soccer falls at SFA

Nacogdoches, TX- The McNeese Soccer team fell to Stephen F. Austin in Southland Conference play on Sunday afternoon by a 2-1 decision. Keely Morrow scored her second goal of the weekend after scoring her first goal of the season on Thursday night at Sam Houston State. SFA's Colleen Feagins two first half goals went unanswered and gave the Ladyjacks their third straight win.

1st HALF: Fourteen minutes into Sunday's contest Kiana Kukaua was sent to the flag and took the corner kick that was finished by Keely Morrow to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead. Morrow became the only other Cowgirl to have multiple goals this season, Havana Johnson leads the team with five. Colleen Feagins of SFA scored her second goal of the season in the 18th minute when she was assisted by Katelyn Termini to tie the game. It was just four minutes later when Feagins gave the Ladyjacks the lead off an unassisted goal to go up 2-1.

2nd HALF: SFA continued their attack in the second half as they recorded 11 shots in the 2nd half, to McNeese's zero. The Ladyjack were also able to keep the ball in their offensive third and were awarded six corner kicks in the second period.  Roccaforte was able to keep things within reach as she made four saves in the aggressive second half.
