LAKE CHARLES- The McNeese Cowgirls (1-0-0) are set to host the Houston Cougars (1-0-0) on Sunday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. in women's soccer action.

All fans are encouraged to come out and join Rowdy to support the Cowgirls as they seek the program's first victory against Houston. Admission is free. 

Last Time On The Field

 Drew Fitzgerald's squad is coming off a 3-0 victory in last Thursday's season opener against Jackson State. Once the Cowgirls seized momentum they never gave it back with two goals five minutes apart in the closing minutes of the first half by Keely Morrow and Alexis Miller. Megan Mielke added to the lead in the second half. Goalkeeper Emma Roccaforte and the rest of the defense secured a shutout. 

Houston is coming off a 3-1 victory at home against the Oklahoma Sooners in which they scored two goals in the second half to put the game away.
