Series History                                            
In eight lifetime matchups, the Cowgirls have gone 3-4-1 against the Islanders. Six of the eight have been decided by one score. 

The Cowgirls are 4-2-2 lifetime against Incarnate Word. The last match between the two programs was a 1-1 tie during this past spring season.

Last Week on the Pitch
Drew Fitzgerald's squad is coming off of a 2-0-0 opening conference week. The Pokes shutout both Southeastern La. and Nicholls. Havana Johnson netted the game winning goal against SLU, while Jillian Bech and Rachel Young scored against Nicholls.

The Pokes are tied with Northwestern St. with a 2-0-0 conference record to sit atop of the Southland standings. 

Scouting the Islanders                                            
The Islanders opened Southland play last weekend with a 1-1 tie against HBU after two overtimes. They are lead by Craig Shaw who is in his fifth season leading the Texas A&M - CC program. At the forefront of their attack is preseason All-SLC nominee Olivia Alvarez who was their second leading scorer a season ago.

Scouting the Cardinals                                                   
Incarnate Word will open conference play against Northwestern State on Friday (Sep. 17), they've dropped five of their first six, with four of those losses coming by one goal. Kiki Lara's team features four preseason first team SLC nominees Eve Clarkson, Isabella Beletic, Hannah Walsh, and Sierra Wannamaker
