LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will begin the second half of Southland Conference action on the road with a 6:30 p.m. Thursday match at Northwestern State and a 11 a.m. Saturday match at Texas A&M-Commerce.
McNeese (10-13, 6-3 SLC) begins the second half of league play in third place, one match out of first place behind both Houston Christian and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi who are tied atop the league standings.
The Cowgirls have won five of their last six matches and will look to return the favor Thursday night against a NW State team (12-8, 5-4 SLC) that defeated the Cowgirls in a five set match in the second conference match of the season on Sept. 24 in Lake Charles.
Northwestern State enters Thursday's match in a four-way tie for fourth place with Southeastern, New Orleans and Texas A&M-Commerce.
On Saturday, the Cowgirls will look to pick up its second win over TAMU-Commerce (9-14, 5-4 SLC) after defeating the Lions in five sets in its SLC opener in Lake Charles on Sept. 22.
