LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball returns home Tuesday night to host Houston Christian in a battle for sole first place in the Southland Conference. Both teams will enter the match with a 10-3 conference record. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Center and admission is free.
The match is the first of three for the Cowgirls this week. McNeese will travel to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday night and Incarnate Word on Saturday.
McNeese (14-13, 10-3 SLC) will look to avenge a straight set loss at Houston Christian on Oct. 8 as the Cowgirls enter the match on a six-match winning streak and have won nine of its last 10 matches.
The Cowgirls are coming off a straight set win at New Orleans last Saturday where Skyeler Embry recorded her second straight double double with 10 kills and a career high 18 digs.
Kendall Glueck leads the Cowgirls with 308 kills and is second on the team with 95 blocks. Tillman has a team high 492 digs, Mia Perales leads the Cowgirls with 596 assists and Sanni Rantanen has a team best 113 blocks.
Houston Christian (18-8, 10-3 SLC) is led in kills Anna Gadway, this week's SLC Offensive Player of the Week. Gadway leads the Huskies with 292 kills while Audrey Pearce leads the team with 102 blocks.
