McNeese basketball fans will get a chance to see the Cowboys and Cowgirls up close on Wednesday night at the McNeese Mayhem, a preseason event for the Lake Charles community and McNeese students.

The free event will run from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Legacy Center.

Students will receive free t-shirts for the newly branded "Mayhem" student section. The Pride of McNeese band along with the Cowgirl Kickers and cheerleaders will also perform.

Games for students will be played for a chance to win a Smart TV and speakers while the teams will conduct three-point and slam dunk contests.

Season tickets will also be on sale for those who have not yet purchased.

Both the Cowboys and Cowgirls will tip-off their seasons next Monday, November 7 with the Cowgirls hosting Ecclesia College at 11 a.m. for Elementary School Day and the men following up later that night at 7 p.m. versus Champion College.
