NATCHITOCHES—McNeese women's soccer season came to an end here Wednesday night at the Southland Conference Tournament as the Cowgirls were eliminated by No. 2 seed Northwestern State by a 5-0 score.
NW State took an early 1-0 lead in the eighth minute of the game on a goal off a corner kick by Hailie Field. That score would hold as the halftime score.
The Lady Demons (12-3-3) scored four second half goals and didn't waste any time as they took a 2-0 lead in the 47
th minute on an Olivia Draguicevich goal.
Gracie Armstrong put the Lady Demons up 4-0 with back to back goals two minutes apart with a goal in the 52
nd and 54
th minutes.
Paige Armstrong finished the NW State scoring with goal in the 71
st minute for a 5-0.
McNeese (5-9-4) was held to three shots on the night with Salma Elhaimer,
Morgan Schooley and Alexis Theiler all being credited with a shot.
