LAKE CHARLES- McNeese women's basketball returns to the hardwood this Thursday, Nov. 10 to host UT Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Legacy Center with the game being streamed on ESPN+.
 
McNeese (1-0) opened its season with a commanding 110-26 win over Ecclesia on Monday that saw the Cowgirls score the first 25 points of the game in the first four minutes. All 15 players saw action with 14 scoring at least two points.
 
Transfer Paris Mullins came off the bench lead all players with a game high 18 points while Kaili Chamberlin added 17.  Rutgers transfer Stephanie Guihon also came off the bench and scored 12 while Divine Tanks and Alicja Falkowska chipped in with 10 points apiece.
 
UTRGV (0-1) opened its season with a 95-63 road loss at Oklahoma State on Monday. Deborah Ogayemi and Iyana Dorsey lead the Vaqueros in scoring with 16.0 ppg. Ogayemi also leads the team with 7.0 rpg.
