LAKE CHARLES—McNeese first year head women's tennis coach Gabrielle Moore has announced the signing of Heta Nuutinen and Maria Wang Martinez Oliveras to a National Letter of Intent here Wednesday.
 
"I am thrilled to add Heta and Maria to our McNeese tennis family," said head coach Gabrielle Moore. "Not only are they going to make an immediate impact on the court, but these girls have so much character that will add to the championship culture we are creating here. They both have been invested with the program during the entire recruiting process, and that's exactly what we are looking for. Ladies who want to buy in, who can mesh well with the team culture, and most importantly, who add character and integrity. I'm excited to see them develop on and off the court here at McNeese."

Hometown: Heinola, Finland
High School: Lukion Paastotodistus 
Accolades: ITF Tournament semi-finalist and runner-up at U21 National Championships. Played for LVS tennis team and was a key player in their semi-final run at the National team tennis championship.
 
 
MARIA WANG MARTINEZ OLIVERAS
Hometown: Girona, Spain
 
Accolades: 2021 and 2022 U18 Circuit Absolut FCT Women's Open Singles Champion, 2022 U18 Memorial Trofeu Adolfo Mana Women's single Champion.
