 LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball returns to the Legacy Center this week to close out its home slate against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday and Incarnate Word on Saturday in its home finale.

McNeese (11-13, 6-5) will carry a two-game winning streak into Thursday's contest against the Southland's first place team in the Islanders who enter the game 11-7, 9-1 SLC.

The Cowgirls sit in fourth place in the league standings, two games behind third place Southeastern following its road wins over Nicholls and New Orleans last week.

McNeese fell 72-61 at TAMU-CC on Jan. 20 in the first meeting of the season between the two teams. McNeese cut a double digit deficit down to a two possession game late in the final period but the Islanders scored their final six points from the free throw line to claim the win.

The Cowgirls carry the league's top scoring offense into the game, averaging 70.0 ppg. in conference games.
Desirae Hansen ranks second in the SLC in 3-pt. field goal percent (43.9) and 3-pt. field goals per game (2.6). She carries a team best 11.0 ppg. scoring average while
Kaili Chamberlin is second on the team with 10.8 ppg. Chamberlin also ranks second in the SLC with an 86.7 free throw percent.
