LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's basketball (13-14), the No. 4 seed will make its 22nd overall Southland Conference Tournament appearance and first under first year head coach Lynn Kennedy on Friday, March 11 at 11 a.m. against No. 5 seed Incarnate Word (10-16) at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas.
 
Tickets for the game are available through etix (link also on McNeese Athletics website). McNeese fans are asked to use code MCN22 at checkout when purchasing tickets.
 
The first three rounds will broadcast live on ESPN+ with Sunday's championship game televised on CBS Sports Network.
 
The Cowgirls enter the tournament with its highest seed since 2016 and has won 10 or more games since the 2017-18 season.
 
McNeese led the league in scoring offense (70.0 ppg.), three-pointers made (103), and defensive rebounds (381) in conference play.
 
Southland Conference "Freshman of the Year" Kaili Chamberlin and Desirae Hansen, a third team All SLC selection, will lead the Cowgirls into "March Madness" averaging 11.0 ppg., and 10.7 ppg., respectively.
 
UIW advanced to the second round following its 74-73 win over No. 8 seed Nicholls.
