LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will take part is its fourth and final regular season tournament this weekend when the Cowgirls travel to Waco, Texas for the Baylor 2022 City of Lacy Lakeview Tournament set for Thursday and Friday.
McNeese (3-8) will carry a two-match winning streak into the tournament following is 3-0 home opening win over Texas Southern Tuesday night.
McNeese will open tournament play against former Southland Conference member Sam Houston at 4 p.m. Thursday. The Cowgirl will take on Tulsa, a team McNeese fell to in five sets at the Stephen F. Austin Tournament on Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. Friday. McNeese will close out tournament play against 14
th ranked Baylor at 7 p.m. Friday.
Heading into the weekend,
Kendall Glueck continues to lead the Cowgirls with 121 kills and is second on the team with 43 blocks.
Nejra Hanic, who is coming off a match high 17 kills against Texas Southern, is second on the squad with 82 kills.
Mia Perales and
Dejah Dade lead the team with 205 and 123 assists, respectively while
Bailey Tillman are tops with 177 and 144 digs apiece.
At the net,
Sanni Rantanen has a team high 53 blocks.
