Lizzy Low joined an elite group in McNeese Volleyball history here Friday night when she reached the 1,000
th career dig milestone in the second set against 14
th ranked Baylor to conclude the 2022 City of Lacy Lakeview Tournament. She entered the match needing three digs and ended the match with nine, now giving her for 1,006 for her career.
McNeese (4-10), who dropped the match in straight sets (18-25 18-25, 17-25), was led in kills by
Mikayla Christiansen's career tying 11 kills.
Other Cowgirl leaders were
Bailey Tillman who was the only Cowgirl to record double figure digs with 15.
Mia Perales dished out 14 assists and
Sanni Rantanen was credited with five blocks while
Kendall Glueck was credited with four.
Baylor improved to 10-2 on the season and was led in kills by Riley Simpson's 13 kills. Allie Sczech added 10 kills while Lauren Briseno had a team high 11 digs.
McNeese will return home next week to open Southland Conference play beginning with a 6:30 p.m. match against Texas A&M-Commerce on Thursday, Sept. 22. The Cowgirls will remain home to host Northwestern State on Sat., Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. in what has been designated as Alumni Day. Any former alumni are asked to complete this
