LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball returns home this weekend to begin Southland Conference play by hosting Texas A&M-Commerce Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. and Northwestern State at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Legacy Center. Admission is free for all home matches.

McNeese (4-10, 0-0 SLC) was picked to finish fourth in the SLC preseason poll while A&M-Commerce (3-10, 0-0 SLC) was picked seventh and NW State (7-5, 0-1 SLC) was picked sixth. NW State will travel to Lamar Thursday before facing the Cowgirls on Saturday.

The Cowgirls will enter the weekend ranked second in the nation in digs (950), fourth in digs per set (17.59) and blocks (134.5). Freshman middle blocker
Sanni Rantanen ranks ninth in the nation with 66 blocks.

On Alumni Day, the alumni will be recognized between sets 2 and 3 and reception will be held following the match on the basketball arena concourse.

Also, fans planning on attending Saturday's volleyball match are asked to park at FK White Middle School (1000 East McNeese St) which is located East of the Legacy Center due to the Cowboys home football game against Mississippi College.
