LAKE CHARLES—McNeese soccer returns home this weekend to host Nicholls at 7 p.m. Friday and Northwestern State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
McNeese (3-5-1, 1-2-1 SLC), coming off a 2-2 road tie at Incarnate Word last Friday in its only game last week, will look to pick up its second win over Nicholls this season. The Cowgirls defeated the Colonels 4-0 in Thibodaux on Sept. 9 in the conference opener.
Nicholls (2-8-1, 0-4-0 SLC) will be searching for its first conference win after falling 4-0 at Lamar last Sunday.
NW State (5-2-2, 2-1-1 SLC), who was picked to win the league in the preseason polls, will enter its Friday game at Houston Christian tied for third place with Southeastern before playing the Cowgirls on Sunday.
