LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will take part is its third tournament of the season when the Cowgirls travel to San Antonio, Texas for the UTSA Invitational Friday and Saturday.
 
McNeese (1-6) will look to bounce back from a 3-0 road loss at Rice Tuesday night when they open tournament action against host UTSA (1-5) in a 12:30 p.m. match Friday. The match will mark the second time this season the two teams have met with the Roadrunners defeating the Cowgirls 3-1 at the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational. McNeese will also face UT-Arlington (2-4) at 4 p.m. before ending tournament play in an 11 a.m. Saturday match against South Florida (4-2).
 
The Cowgirls are led in kills by senior 
Kendall Glueck who has 83 on the season. She has recorded double figure kills in five of the seven matches and is coming off a night with 10 kills against Rice.

Lizzy Low and 
Bailey Tillman have 106 and 103 digs, respectively while 
Mia Perales leads the team with 110 assists and eight service aces. Freshman 
Sanni Rantanen, who set a McNeese single match record with 12 block assists against Tulsa last weekend, leads the Cowgirls with 34 blocks.
 
McNEESE NOTES
• It's the third of four regular season tournaments for the Cowgirls

ABOUT UT-ARLINGTON (2-4)
• Member of the WAC
• Picked up its first wins of the season last weekend at the UT-Arlington Classic with wins over Texas A&M-Commerce and Providence
• UTA holds a 10-4 series record over McNeese and the Mavs have won the last five matches
• The last McNeese win over UTA came during the 2009 season with a 3-0 win in Lake Charles

• First meeting between the two teams
• Coming off a 3-0 weekend at the Stony Brook Invitational
• Their losses have come against Ball State and South Florida at the USF Opening Weekend Invite two weeks ago
