Series: NW State leads the series 60-35
LAKE CHARLES – McNeese women's basketball (4-10, 1-2 SLC) will travel to Natchitoches Thursday to face Northwestern State (5-8, 1-2 SLC) for the second time in a week. The two teams met in Lake Charles last Thursday in the Cowgirls' SLC home opener. McNeese picked up a 71-65 win.
McNeese will look to bounce back from its 79-71 loss against A&M-Commerce while also looking to pick up its first road win of the season.
Paris Mullins is coming off the bench to lead the Cowgirls in scoring (10.5 ppg.) while
Divine Tanks continues to lead the team with 5.4 rpg.
Desirae Hansen seems to have found her shooting touch lately. In conference games, Hansen leads the league with a 47.6 three-point field goal percent and a league high 10 treys.
As a team, McNeese is second in the league in scoring offense (67.67), field goal percent (44.3), assists (13.6) and is third in steals (9.0).
NW State snapped a four game losing streak with its 67-58 home win over Nicholls last Saturday.

• It will be the second meeting against Northwestern State in a week. The Cowgirls defeated the Lady Demons 71-65 in Lake Charles last Thursday
• NW State leads the series 60-35 but McNeese has won four of the last five meetings

Desirae Hansen combined for 41 of the Cowgirls' 71 points in the win over NW State in the first meeting.
• Mullins led all players with a career high 21 points and Hansen scored a season high 20 points against the Lady Demons. It was the first time this season the Cowgirls had two players score at least 20 points in a game.
• Mullins is the only Cowgirl averaging in double figures with 10.5 ppg.
• In conference games, Hansen (15.0 ppg.) and
Stephanie Guihon (10.3 ppg.) are the only Cowgirls averaging in double figures
• Hansen leads the SLC with a 47.6 three-point field goal percent. She also leads the league with 10 three-pointers made.
